Netgear Orbi RBK50 Default SSID and password change

Usually, the users find it very convenient to connect with their home WIFI network using the default SSID and password. Steps involved in Netgear Orbi RBK50 the SSID and Password change

Look for the default username and password of your Netgear Orbi RBK50 router on its outer label. Choose the device you wish to connect to your Orbi router for configuration. 

1. Launch and open a browser, and go to the navigation bar. And then enter Netgear Orbi login details to access your Orbi firmware page.
2. Wait for a few seconds till the login window opens on your computer screen.
3. Input admin in the username and password into the required fields. 
4. Press the “Login” button to get the home page of your RBK50 router. Now you can see the Basic home page of your router.
5. Go to the advanced setup section from the left of the menu bar. Select the sub-option “Administration” to change your RBK50 Orbi default password.
6. Select the next sub-option, [Set Password] and access the set password page.
7. On the user name and password change field, first, click the option SSID.
8. Erase the default SSID of your router, and then type the new one you want to keep.
9. Then click the PASSWORD field, and then erase the default password of the RBK50 router.
10. Next, you need to type the new, strong, and unique password for your Orbi firmware login page.
11. It should involve numbers, letters, alphabets, and some special characters.
12. After the password section, scroll down. Click on the option “APPLY” and see your Netgear Orbi login details have been changed. 

Have trouble while installing my Orbi WIFI System

1. Have you already connected your modem to the Orbi firmware RBK50? If yes, then disconnect it first. 
2. Reboot the modem before you reconnect it to your WIFI router. When you finish the boot up process, connect the modem to the WAN port of your router.
3. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the modem with the internet ports of your router and the modem. Try to install your or WIFI router with the Orbi app.
4. If you are still unable to connect to your Orbi WIFI network, try to connect it using the default Orbi admin password and username.
5. If it needs to reset, then you have to reset the router.
6. Then launch a compatible web browser, like internet explorer, Chrome, or Safari.
7. In the address bar, type the Netgear Orbi login URL. You will get the web interface page of your router. 
8. Follow the instructions you get after the previous step, and complete the manual installation process.

How do I recover the forgotten Password?

• Launch and open a web browser, and then go to my.netgear.com/registration/login.aspx
• There on the home page of this support site, you have to select the option “Forgot My Orbi admin Password?”
• Now, you can access the “Reset My Password” window, and then you need to submit the email address.
• The email address you would like to submit here should be the same one that you used while creating your Orbi account.
• Fill in the other fields which are mandatory and then tap the option “Reset My Password.”

You will now be taken to your mailbox through the link provided by Orbilogin.net support site. Click on the blue link to open the reset password page. You will be automatically redirected to the Netgear to change your password page. Enter a new password here or continue with the same, and then click “SUBMIT”. Now, you have successfully accessed your Orbi firmware login page.
