Introduction
Gokarna, a temple town in Karnataka, India, is quickly becoming a popular beach resort, and for good reason. Gokarna’s beaches are unspoiled and serene. The most popular beach is Om, which offers water sports and a variety of shacks. Belekan Beach, on the other hand, is an unheard-of beach with only fishermen strutting around.
Hiking around all of Gokarna’s beaches is the best way to see them all. Take a look at this helpful Gokarna beach trek guide. All of the Gokarna Beaches exude a sense of serenity. The sandy beaches here are ideal for all types of tourists, with undulating waves, clear blue water, and palm palms surrounding the shore. The beaches at Gokarna, which are located on the Konkan coast, are ideal for a quiet, rejuvenating vacation, whether for nature enthusiasts, adrenaline junkies, or those seeking seclusion.
Beaches in Gokarna
There is a lot to do while visiting the beaches in Gokarna, from a simple and tranquil walk to trekking and other adventure activities like banana boat rides, parasailing, snorkelling, and much more. Furthermore, there are numerous food shacks and booths that line the beaches here for foodies.
You can order everything from traditional South Indian cuisine like Idli-Dosa to more continental fare like Seafood Lasagne, Prawn Pizza, and Iced Nutella.
Beach Trekking in Gokarna:
Let’s get started with a full tour of the famous 5-beach Gokarna beach trip.
1. Beach of Belekan
Belekan Beach is the least visited of all the beaches in Gokarna. This is where your Gokarna 5-beach journey begins. To see the sunrise at Belekan, get up at 6 a.m. and leave your lodging. There will be no one else on the beach except for wee fishermen, as may be seen in the photo above. Besides, this is, in my opinion, Gokarna’s most gorgeous beach. Spend some time here to prepare for the hike ahead of you.
2. The Beach of Paradise
To get to Paradise beach from Belekan beach, it’s a short trek up a well-marked trail. Travelers frequent Paradise Beach, which is a popular camping spot. After a lovely night beneath the stars on the beach, groups of people will be putting up their tents here in the morning. It’s important to note that, as a result of the enormous number of people who have set up camp here, there is a lot of rubbish thrown on the beach, which is an irresponsible act. If you decide to camp here, remember to bring your rubbish back with you and not to pollute the beach.
3. Beach of the Half Moon
The half-moon beach was my favourite of all the Gokarna beaches. I strongly advise you to visit this beach regardless of whatever trail you take on your Gokarna beach excursion. There are numerous explanations for this. To begin with, the beach is deserted, with just wandering adventurers like you as visitors.
Second, the beach shack directly on the beach (I forgot the name) delivers the most delectable, abundant breakfast at the most affordable prices! My group placed an order for breakfast and went for a swim in the pool before breakfast was ready. Finally, a delicious breakfast of eggs, toast, potato, and tea/coffee was served. Following that, we grabbed a group photo and left for Om Beach.
4. Beach of Om
The stroll from half-moon beach to om beach is one of the most beautiful in the area. This trail will take you along cliffs with the Arabian Sea as your backdrop! Of course, you must use caution and maintain a stable footing, but the views are well worth the caution! Make your way to the om beach viewpoint, where you can observe the beach’s “om” shape.
The beach in Om is divided into two areas. The stretch of beach where the half-moon journey begins features hip shacks, tremendous surf, and few people. The second half of the beach is a popular area, starting from where you climb steps to exit the beach and onto the road. This is where water sports are held, and a large number of people are bathing, reading books, and having a good time.
If you are in Bangalore then taking a wine tour there is also a nice option.
5. Kudle Beach
The last beach on the Gokarna beach tour is Kudle. Despite its small size, the beach boasts a large number of shacks. After you arrive, you have the option of eating lunch at one of the beach shacks or returning to your lodging to freshen up. That’s it for now!!! You made it to the end of the five-beach trek!! The rest of the day can be spent relaxing at the Mantra cafe in Zostel, which is located on the Kudle beach road. It has a great view of the Gokarna beach and a laid-back feel.
